Ann M. Malikowski age 80 of DeKalb, IL died on April 17, 2014 in the DeKalb Area Retirement Center Oakcrest. She was born on October 13, 1933 in Bemidji, MN, and was the daughter of Clarence and Barbara (Rafferty) LaLonde.

Ann was married to Matthew Malikowski on August 10, 1957 in Bemidji, MN. Ann had taught school for many years, teaching in Malta, IL. She has lived in the DeKalb community since 1966, moving here from Minnesota. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb. Ann was an avid Bowler, Pitcher in Softball, and a Cancer Survivor since 2000.

Survivors include: husband: Matthew of DeKalb, sons: Mike (Shelly) Malikowski of McDonough, GA, John (Dena) Malikowski of Wilmette, IL, Jay (Thu) Malikowski of Wellesley, MA, brother: Robert LaLonde of Syracuse, NY, twin sister: Alice (Don) Michels of Duluth, MN., sister: Mary (Ed) Oberg of St. Paul, MN, 4 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by: parents, and son: Mark Malikowski on September 5, 1976.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday April 22, 2014 at 10:30am in St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb with Father Steven Lange officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in DeKalb on a later date: Visitation will be held on Monday April 21, 2014 at 4:00pm till 7:00pm with a Wake Service at 6:45PM in the Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home.
