Beverly Reynolds
On September 22nd 2024, The Lord called Beverly Ann Reynolds, 92, peacefully home. Born to Harlo and Elsie Ambler on May 14th, 1932, in Atlanta, NE, Beverly lived a life full of love, joy, and cherished memories. Beverly's deep and abiding love for God was evident in her kindness, generosity, and the way she lived. One of her most quoted verses was Psalms 31:5, "My times are in your hands." A testament to the family's commitment to Christ, was her daughter, Jaime, who faithfully walked with her, providing daily encouragement and prayer before she arrived home.
Beverly was married to her high school steady, Donald Stuart Reynolds on August 17th 1952, in Orleans, Nebraska, and together they built a warm and welcoming home. Beverly and Don had four children, Steven, Kimberlee, Jaime, and Ladd, who brought them immense joy and fulfillment. Each child carries a piece of her lively spirit, reflecting her joy and vibrancy.
Known for her energetic spirit, Beverly ensured that a little bit of levity was added to each day. She loved to garage sale, spend time with her coffee clutch at Panera, or chat on the phone with the Big Six, sharing stories and laughter. She was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and could often be found cheering them on with enthusiasm. Beverly had a sweet tooth, delighting in ice cream and treats, especially DQ Blizzards. Everybody enjoyed stopping by "Annie's Antiques," marveling at her latest crafting projects or newest furniture rearrangement, along with some Crispies and "Snacks." She poured her heart into creating a beautiful home for her family and friends and loved to spend time there. Whenever she and Don would travel, she always said, "I'd just like to be home."
Beverly is survived by her loving family, including Steven and Vivian Reynolds, Kimberlee and Mark Stoda, Jaime and Stephen Persson, and Ladd Reynolds. Her loving grandchildren, who knew her as "Bobbie," are Jennifer (Xavier), Julia (Aaron), Jesse (Stacey), Aaron (Brooke), Joshua, Leah (Noel), Jordan (Mary), Hannah (Matt), Ann (Keenan), Luke (Lizanne), Seth, Mark (Michelle), Noah, Matthew (Amelia), and her great-grandchildren are Vivian, Jake, Elias, Cody, Katie, Jack, Cooper, Ezekiel, Payton, Penelope, Jacob, Lilian, Breck, Mason, George, Elsie, Lydia, Karis, Micah, Asher, and two more on the way. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her generous heart and joyful spirit.
She is preceded in death by her husband Don Reynolds, parents, brother James Ambler, sister June McGuire, and grandson Michael Persson.
Her kindness and warmth touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be dearly missed, but her joy will continue to shine in our hearts. Duddle-dah!
Cremation was entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL, 60115 (815) 758-3841.
