Burdette W. Rainwater, age 74, DeKalb, IL, died Sunday April 17, 2011, in The University of Chicago Medical Center, Chicago, IL. He was born May 5, 1938 in Lafayette Township, IL; the son of Ray and Mary Elizabeth (Alexander) Rainwater. He graduated from Rochelle Township High School. Burdette married Jo Anne Snyder on May 8, 1954 in First United Methodist Church, DeKalb, IL, She preceded him in death February 25, 2002. He was a meat market manager for Eagle Foods in DeKalb for 40 plus years. He was a member of Grace Free Lutheran Church, DeKalb, IL. Burdette served on the zoning board of appeals for the city of DeKalb, and he was a member of the Republican Party.

Burdette is survived by Sons: Barry (Kyongae) Rainwater, Colorado Springs, CO; and Douglas (Sara) Rainwater, Lisle, IL. Granddaughter: 2nd Lt. Elizabeth (1st Lt Brian) Rainwater-Cook, Barksdale Air Force Base, Shreveport, LA.

He is preceded in death by Parents, Wife: Jo Anne; Brother, Merritt Rainwater.

Funeral Services will be Saturday April 23, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. in Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home, 310 Oak Street, DeKalb, IL with Pastor Kent Sperry officiating. Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, DeKalb, IL. Visitation will be Friday April 22, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home.
