Cecilia F. Seip 102, of DeKalb died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at DeKalb Area Retirement Center- Oakcrest in DeKalb. She was born March 14, 1912 in Hancock, MI and was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (LeVeque) Salfenauer.

Cecilia graduated from St. Patrick?s High School in Hancock, MI. She was the secretary for professors at the Michigan College of Mining and Technology, she also worked for A. O. Smith Corp in Chicago before retiring in 1958. She married Richard H. Seip January 5, 1946 in Chicago, IL. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb, Catholic Daughters of America #996 and The Alter and Rosary Society.

Survivors include; 3 nieces; Connie Rappaport of Chicago, Judith Wright of DeKalb and Patricia McKinley of DeKalb. Nine great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, Three aunts; Hattie Salfenauer, Rose Salfenauer and Marie Salfenauer-Secckbach, grandfather; Sebastian Salfenauer and an uncle; Theodore Secckbach.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Dean Russell officiating. Burial will be immediately following the mass at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 9:00am until the time of the service at the church.
