Daniel "Danny" Britt

Daniel "Danny" Britt passed away on September 2, 2025, in DeKalb, Illinois. His life was marked by dedication—to his work, to his country, and to those who knew him.

Danny proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during his service. It was there that he met his future wife, Birgit Britt, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in shared experiences and enduring love.

Following his military service, Danny embarked on a long and loyal career with UPS. Known for his steadfast work ethic and commitment, he became a valued member of the organization and earned the respect of colleagues throughout the years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Birgit Britt; his brother Shoun Crain; his sister Sonya Lawrence, niece Tasha, nephews Navon, Talmadge, Nicholas, and Henning; and many grandnephews and grandnieces who will carry forward his memory. Danny was predeceased by his mother Mildred Crain and his father Marvin Britt, as well as his sisters Marva and Theresa.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 10:00am – 11:00am at Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb, IL. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11:00am at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the family to be established at a later date. Burial will take place at Lamar Memory Gardens in Barnesville, GA on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
