David W. Williams

Age 84 of DeKalb, IL, died on Tuesday April 4, 2017 in the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center in DeKalb. He was born on November 27, 1932 in La Crosse, WI, and was the son of Charles H. and Dorothy (Nichols) Williams.

David was married to Anne M. Bockenhauer. He worked for Wurlitzer Piano Factory in DeKalb as their Service Manager, he later went to work for N.I.U. in Media Services. After graduating from high school, David served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. David was a member of the Kishwaukee RC Flyers, which he loved to build and fly R/C model airplanes, and was known as Mr. Fixit.

Survivors include: wife: Anne M. of DeKalb, sons: Kim (Maureen) Williams of DeKalb, IL, Scott (Edna) Williams of Lakeland, FL, Kevin (Lakshmi) Williams of Arlington, VA, daughter: Bonita (Alex) Crubaugh of Fort Wayne, IN, brothers: Robert (Diane) Williams, Terry (Cindi) Williams, sisters: Mary Smith, Lurana Jo Herlitzka, Kathy Wehba, grandchildren, Dave (Emily) Williams, Kristi (Mike) Williams, Jon (Sara) Williams, Beth (Jake) Garcia,  Kelli (Tobin) Sio, Bryant Crubaugh, Ben (Meghan) Williams, Dilin Williams, Ronen Williams, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: parents, sister: Dora Lee Hein and grandchild: Nathan Williams.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
