Della Marie Boatman

Age 79 of Byron, IL, and formerly of Malta, IL, died on July 28, 2017 in her residence in Byron. Della was born on March 21, 1938 in Rochelle, IL, and was the daughter of David and Lucille (Newell) Coy.
Della was married to the late Harold D. Boatman on November 17, 1957, he preceded her in death on August 10, 1972. She was a loving homemaker and watched over many of the neighbors kids over the years in Malta.
Survivors include: children: Frances (Harry) Warner of DeKalb, Donna (Mike) Boatman-Riley of Davis Junction, Marilyn (Dan) Almburg of Woodstock, GA., Harold D. (Paula) Boatman Jr. of Bolingbrook, and Jeffrey Boatman of Malta, grandchildren: Dan (Lauren) Almburg, Brittany Almburg, Ashley Almburg, Jordan Boatman, Elizabeth Warner, Jack Riley, Julia Boatman, Ayden Boatman, Brooklynn Boatman, and her honorary grandchildren: Lindsay and Loni Wilson, and great-grandchildren: Kailyn and Alyssa Almburg.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday August 3, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb with Pastor Robert L. Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Malta Cemetery in Malta, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 3, 2017 at 10:00 am till the time of the service in the funeral home.
