Diane Marie Doner Watson

Diane Marie Doner Watson born in Dekalb, Illinois on December 18, 1947, the daughter of Mae Marie (Mamer) and Lloyd Doner, passed away December 15, 2024.

She enjoyed a wonderful childhood, graduated from Dekalb High School in 1966, attended Eastern Illinois University and completed her BA from Judson University.  After ten years living in Scottsdale, Arizona and Newport Beach, CA, she was happy to return home to her beloved DeKalb.

She always spoke fondly of her '66 classmates and of her employment and wonderful co-workers at the City of DeKalb, DeKalb Genetics, and lastly Northern Illinois University.  She felt grateful and blessed for her children and cherished friends and family.

Diane always found the good in people and situations and did her best to make everyone around them feel loved.

She is survived by her two loving children, Keri Reed and Johnny Watson, brother, Jim Doner, and four stepchildren who are forever thankful for her.

Her family and friends will organize a gathering to remember her love in the near future.

Memorials can be made to the family for a fund to be established accordingly. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL 60115 815-758-3841.
