Age 78 of DeKalb, IL died on Thursday December 3, 2015 in her residence in DeKalb. Born on December 20, 1936 in Chicago, IL. she was the daughter of Rudolph and Anna (Pipal) Miksanek.
Dorothy was a property manager for Gideon Court Apartments in DeKalb for many years. She graduated from Blessed Agnes Catholic School in Chicago. Dorothy loved her family gatherings, and she was very well known for helping people. Through the mother's club which she established she helped support her community and enjoyed working with mothers and their children and the elderly.
Survivors include: daughters: Marie (Dale) Hadley, Karen Butts, sons: Michael Pellerito, David Pellerito, Daniel (Kristina) Pellerito, grandchildren: Stuart Butts, Sarah Butts, Jessica Butts, Kaden Pellerito, Cole Pellerito, great-grandchild: Markus Bonnette, brother: Richard Miksanek, sister-in-law: Rose Mary Miksanek, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: parents, and brother; James.
Memorial gathering will be held on Friday December 11, 2015 from 6:00PM till 8:00PM in the Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb.
