DeKalb
Edward "Ted" Joyner
February 14, 1966 – March 2, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Joyner, age 60, on March 2, 2026. When I think of Ted, the first thing that comes to mind is "Good and Faithful Servant". He loved our Lord Jesus Christ with his whole heart, sharing the gospel with everyone around him. His many passions included amazing pencil portraits, woodworking and fishing. His journey here was hard but he never complained but greeted you with a smile and a joke, always happy to see a friend. Though never published, he spent the past ten years working on his autobiography and a children's book.
Ted is survived by his daughters Cassandra Hill and Kaila Joyner, and his sister Katherine Lippman. A graveside service will be held at the Allouez Catholic Cemetery in Green Bay, Wi at 11am on April 25th, 2026. Reception to follow. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to: Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL, 60115 (815) 758-3841.
