Elaine M. Burns

Elaine M. Burns 84, of Sycamore died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.  She was born December 14, 1932 in DeKalb and was the daughter of William and Margaret (George) Montavon.

Elaine graduated from DeKalb High School in 1950.  She married Earl Burns on July 14, 1956 at St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb.  She loved playing cards and doing puzzle books.

Survivors include; husband Earl of Sycamore, 2 sons; Allen (Dawn) Burns of South Elgin, Jeffrey (Elaine) Burns of South Bend, IN, and 2 daughters; Donna (James) Kolar and Lisa (Jeff) Peterson of Yorkville.  4 sisters Edith Norvicki of MN, Shirley (Joseph) D'Ascoli of NJ, Yonne (Richard) Baker of Aurora, and Carol Ranchino of TN.  Nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by; parents, infant son Stephen Edward Burns, brothers Francis Montavon and Robert Montavon, sisters Florence Weishaar, Bernice Austin, Gladys Montavon, and Marian Spicer.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 7:00pm at Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb with Deacon Armando Regalado officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 5:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00am at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL.  Memorials may be made in care of Finch Funeral Home.  To send an online condolence visit: www.finchfuneralhomedekalb.com .  Arrangements were entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL 60115 815-758-3841.
