Elizabeth A. (Erickson) Elliott, 52, of Malta, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 23, 2015. She was born on February 10, 1962 in Berkley, California to her parents Leona (Klein) and John Erickson.

Liz graduated from Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with the class of 1980. In 1984, she was united in marriage to her beloved husband William (Steve) Elliott in Glen Ellyn, later they made their home in Malta, Illinois. Liz spent her early career caring for adults with special needs at the Ray Graham Association and later was a long time employee of KinderCare Learning Centers. She and her husband were also foster parents to many children throughout their marriage. In her spare time, Liz enjoyed spending time as the President of the Malta Elementary School PTO, a leader of Girl Scout Troop 707, scrapbooking, sewing, crafting, and watching her children enjoy the various sports and activities they were involved in. People who knew and loved Liz will always remember the joyful smile that always adorned her face and the selflessness that filled her heart and soul.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years William (Steve) Elliott and her five children Christian (Manny), Meghan, Emma, Ethan, and Isaiah; her three sisters, Mary (Tom) Banks, Joanne (James) Tyree, Susan (Dennis) Melton; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Liz was preceded in death by her parents Leona and John Erickson.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 10:30am at Christ the Teacher University Parish in DeKalb with Father Matthew McMorrow officiating. Cremation will take place after services at Finch Crematory. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:00pm-8:00pm with a wake service at 7:45pm at Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL 60115.
