Frances Lorraine Fitzgerald age 82, born October 9, 1928 in Lee Township, Illinois died September 13, 2011 in Hastings, Minnesota. Fran was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick), her parents Margaret and Paul Snyder, brothers Earl, Limon and Henry, sisters Elaine, Dorothy and Maxine. Fran is survived by her three children Paula (John) King, Barry (Stephanie) Fitzgerald and Ann (Joel) Hunt and eight grandchildren Ian, Lucille, Margaret and Hamilton King, Elizabeth, Emily, Gabrielle and Mary Fitzgerald.

Fran graduated from DeKalb High School, class of 1946 and attended Northern Illinois University. She enjoyed raising her family in DeKalb. She loved playing golf, bridge and traveling the U.S. She leaves many friends in her beloved Illinois. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Bridgeview Senior Care, Tabitha and Pauline Memory Care of Regina Medical Center of Hastings and Allina Hospice for the love and care given to mom.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 17, 2011 at 10:30 am in the St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb with Father Kenneth Anderson officiating. Burial will follow services in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in DeKalb. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.
