Gordon L. Plucker 79, of Oregon, IL formerly of DeKalb died Sunday, September 2, 2013 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. He was born August 7, 1934 in Pingree Grove, IL and was the son of Manno and Marion (Johnson) Plucker.

Gordon married Helen McCormick October 9, 1953 at the First United Methodist Church in DeKalb. He was a NIU and a DeKalb police officer for 28 years before retiring in 1990.

Survivors include; Daughters; Debbie (Rick) Holloway of Dixon and Kathy Plucker of DeKalb and a son; Jeff Plucker of DeKalb. Grandchildren; Jason (Erin) Moore of Mt. Juliet, TN, Brandon Moore of Sycamore, Alex Plucker of DeKalb, Carly Plucker of Skokie, IL, step-grandchildren; Jennifer Holloway of Polo, IL, and Erica (Mike) Pospeshil of Hoffman Estates, IL and Brad (Kayla) Holloway of Dixon, IL. Great grandchildren; Lydia and Devlin Moore. Step great grandchildren; Lennon, Lyla, Neyo, and Nevan. Sisters; Eleaonor Williams and Shirley Shedd Sister-in-Laws E. Phyllis McCormick and Rosann Shipman. He was preceded in death by his Wife on August 31, 2013. His parents, a brother Wesley and sisters; Geneviev and Ruth.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday September 6, 2013 at 10:30am at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb. A visitation will be held Friday September 6, 2013 from 9:30am until the time of service at Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home.
