Helen M. Yusunas 85, of DeKalb, IL, died on Wednesday April 4, 2012 in the Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. She was born April 28, 1926 in DeKalb and was the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Zibitus) Yusunas.

Helen graduated from DeKalb Township High School in 1943. She worked at General Electric for 40 years. Helen took an early retirement to care for her sister Elizabeth. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb and served on the finance committee for many years. Helen enjoyed working in her yard, had a doll and angel collection and recently took up piano.

Helen is survived by one sister; Barbara J. Yusunas of Sycamore. 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Anthony J. (Mary) Yusunas and four sisters; Elizabeth Yusunas, Delores (Yusunas) Edwards, Christine Jensen and Pauline Forrest.

The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb with Father Kenneth Anderson officiating. Burial will be immediately following the service at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be Tuesday April 10, 2012 from 9am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The American Lung Association in Illinois and St. Mary Catholic Church in care of Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home.
