Jacqueline A. Griffith

Jacqueline A. Griffith 90, of DeKalb passed away on February 2, 2025, at DeKalb County Nursing Center in DeKalb. She was born on May 13, 1934, in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of Joseph and Rosemary (Gregorich) Sterbentz.

Jacqueline, a proud graduate of Loretto Academy in Chicago, IL, Class of 1952. A trailblazer in every sense, she built a successful career in real estate and later owned and operated a construction company for many years—a rare and inspiring accomplishment for a woman of her time. Jacqueline will be remembered for her strength, determination, and the love she shared so generously with all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the foundations she laid—both in business and in the hearts of those she touched.

Survivors include; son; Mark (Andrea) Griffith of Simi Valley, CA and a granddaughter Martha Griffith. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Judith.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00am at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet, IL.
