Jaereth D. Anderson

Jaereth D. Anderson 31, of Rockford passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home. He was born April 21, 1993, in DeKalb and was the profoundly loved son of Roger Anderson III and Carolyn (Drake) Racine.

Jaereth was currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security from Rock Valley College in Rockford. He was a kindhearted and gentle soul who loved animals and exploring nature.  He found peace being outdoors, hiking and camping. Jaereth was an avid gamer and reader, loved music and was a self-taught drummer.

Jaereth led a complicated life and always searched for truth in things.  He fought hard and we are incredibly proud of him. He was loved more than he will ever know.

Survivors include; parents; Carolyn (Tom) Racine of Rockford and Roger (Christa) Anderson III of Waukegan. Step siblings Lennon, Lynnea, Brendon, Anna, and Morgan (Michael). Maternal grandfather Don Drake of Aurora, Paternal grandfather Roger Anderson, Jr. of Oswego, IL, Uncles Gary (Diane) Drake of Evergreen, CO, Glen Drake of Viroqua, WI, and Ben (Wendy) Anderson of Minneapolis, MN.  Cousins David, Marie (Nick), Rose, Kylie (Justin), Colin, Zoey, Tessa, Maya, Tommy and many other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother, Joanne Drake, Paternal Grandmother, Katherine Baird Anderson, Maternal great grandmother, Carolyn Vickrey and Great Aunt, Carolyn Enloe. May they welcome him home with open arms and a loving embrace.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 5:00pm at Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 3:00pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
