Jane A Williams born on April 27, 1946 Jane grew up in Wausau, WI, and graduated from Wausau High School in 1964. She moved to Illinois in 1970. She and Carol Sturm were together for 32 years and were joined in a Civil Union on Sept. 21, 2011. Jane was a happy person who enjoyed life and people.

Jane has one son, Thomas M. Williams, who is a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy. She was very proud of him and her two grandchildren ? Melissa and Christopher.

Jane was co-owner of Guardian In-Home Services with Carol for over 15 years. We both enjoyed doing the pet sitting and handyman things. Jane also did bookkeeping..

She was involved with TAILS Humane Society from the beginning and loved to foster puppies and kittens. She was also the animal transporter for many years.

One of her other occupations was being a School Bus Driver and she really enjoyed interacting with the kids on her bus route.

Jane was a part of Court Watch and the Children?s Waiting Room at the Courthouse.

Jane and Carol had a small business called The Magic Box. We make and sold miniatures for dollhouses and did trade shows throughout the Midwest. Jane made furniture and worked with Fimo to create things like Christmas Candy.

We both loved to go on spur of the moment trips ? just point the car and go. We did end up in some strange places! We took a great trip out West in 2002 to Glacier National Park and spent 10 days having fun with two good friends.

Another great joy for Jane was playing Rummy Cube with friends Gail, Bud and Ida.

Jane is survived by three brothers: Howie (Linda) Pagenkopf, Bob (Carolyn) Pagenkopf and Rick (Jill) Pagenkopf, her partner Carol Sturm, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Also her son, Thomas M Williams (Juvy) and two grandchildren along with her 4 cats: Spot, Berney, Bailey and Sparky. She was also deeply loved by the members of Carol?s family.

She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother. Also by beloved pets: Daryl, Gus, Shannon, Ali, Jake and Jethro.

I would like to thank the Nurses and staff at Kishwaukee Community Hospital and the personnel at the DeKalb County Nursing Home for taking such good care of her whenever she came to visit.
