Jerry Lee Hennessee

Jerry Lee Hennessee 77 of Oregon, IL and formerly of DeKalb, IL died on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Davenport, IA on July 1, 1941, the son of Lloyd and Hazel (Suesens) Hennessee.

Jerry was a graduate of Davenport High School.  His lifelong career was with Eagle Foods.  He was well known as the manager of the south side Eagle Store in DeKalb.  He retired from there 20 years ago to pursue his dream of living on the Rock River in Oregon, IL.

Jerry was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter.  He loved spending time with family, friends, and his dogs.  He was a member of the DeKalb Elks Lodge #765, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and the NRA.

Survivors include; sons: Terry Hennessee of Phoenix, AZ and Jeff (Debra) Hennessee of Cortland, IL, brothers; Don Hennessee of Los Angeles, CA, and John Hennessee of Port Salerno, FL, granddaughters; Taylor and Madison Hennessee both of Cortland, IL; and beloved dog Reilly2.
