Jessee Donald Widick

On November 3, 2019, Don Widick, husband and father of two passed away at the age of 82 due to complications from a stroke.

Don was born on Feb 10, 1937 in Adairville Ky.    He was a graduate of Reitz HS in 1957 and attended University of Evansville.  After completing his master's degree at UE, he became the Purchasing Director until 1976.  He then took the Director of Purchasing position at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb IL.  After retiring from NIU, he opened a Mr. Build franchise that he ran with his son, David in 1992.  Around 1999, he took a position in McHenry County as the Purchasing Director overseeing the courthouse and jail construction.  He retired in the early 2000s

He was married on Dec 27, 1958 to Mary Jo (Gregovich) and they had two children, Kimberly and David.

In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Morgan and Joe.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Jo.  His children, Kim (Geoff Griffin, deceased) and David (Carrie), Grandchildren- Morgan and Joe.  Brother Kenneth Widick (Kathy) and sister Retha (Daryl Buente) Nephews Jeffrey (Samantha) and Jeremy
