John M. Repp

John M. Repp 70, of DeKalb passed away on April 14, 2026, at Heritage Woods in DeKalb. He was born August 9, 1955, in Chicago, IL and was the son of Steve and Helen (Schieffer) Repp.

John spent several years working for Sears in Chicago, IL, where he brought a genuine warmth to everyone he met. He was a breath of fresh air, someone who truly loved connecting with people and made each conversation feel meaningful. His kindness was evident in every interaction, and he found real joy in simply talking with others and making them feel seen and valued.

He is survived by his nieces; Cynthia Tjelle of DeKalb, Julie (Rich) Kennedy of Kankakee, and Dawn (Jon) Rawson of Cookeville, TN. Nephews; Robert (Jeanne) Smith of Crystal Lake and Raymond (Michelle) Sullivan of Lemont, and many great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
