Kenneth D. Hartman

Early on Saturday November 11, 2017 my dear husband Ken Hartman passed away one day shy of his 63rd birthday. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma last November 2016, but that didn't define his life.
Ken was an electrical engineer, and had 9 US patents. He graduated from NIU School of Engineering. We married in 1991 and had two children Richard and Beatrice. He liked nothing better than to emulate his Kitchen heroes Julia and Jacques with wine in hand stirring the pot and preparing a wonderful meal. Ken's Parents Richard and Allegra and their daughter Patricia, sons Steven, Thomas, Roger, and Douglas join us in grieving this great loss.
Please join us at our home 616 Fox Hollow in DeKalb to celebrate his life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 1:00pm-4:00pm for food and refreshments.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to: The Fine Line Creative Arts Center 37W570 Bolcum Rd St. Charles, IL 60175. Cremation was handled by Finch Crematory and arrangements were entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak Street DeKalb, IL 815-758-3841.
