Louise M. Ball, 95, of DeKalb, passed away early Monday morning at The DeKalb County Nursing Home. Louise was born on November 1, 1915, in DeKalb, IL, to Michael and Ella Malone. She graduated from DeKalb High School and went on to study home economics at The University of Illinois. She worked for many years in the office of Malone?s department store, which was founded by her father.

Family was at the center of Louise?s life, and hers became especially close when, on April 23, 1938, she married Ralph Ball, the twin brother of her sister Dorothy?s husband, Bob. Her only daughter, Carole, was born on December 23, 1941. Louise was a member of Catholic Daughters and attended St. Mary?s Church in DeKalb.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph, her daughter Carole Pegram, her brother-in-law Bob Ball, and her sister, Dorothy Ball. She is survived by her son-in-law, Larry Pegram, her grandchildren, Michael (Mary) Pegram, Michelle Pegram, Christopher (Andrea) Pegram, her great grandchildren, Jackson (Michael), Laura (Michael), Luke (Christopher), and James (Christopher), her nephews and nieces, Gerry (Joan) Ball, Larry (Linda) Ball, Bobbi (Dick) Wiseman, Bill (Rose) Ball, and Jim (Barb) Ball, as well as many great and great-great nephews and nieces.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday February 12, 2011 at 10:30 am in the Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home with Father Kenneth Anderson officiating. Burial will follow services at the Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 12, 2011 at 9:30 am till the time of the service in the funeral home.
