Marie Elizabeth Massier

Marie Elizabeth Massier 93, passed peacefully at Mission Palms of Mesa, Arizona Rehab Center, on March 28, 2017. She was born in Steward, IL, on January 18, 1924, and was the daughter of Walter and Mary O'Donnell.
She was the beloved wife of Clarence Massier married 67 years, loving mother of five children: Jim (Carol) Massier, Greg (Judy) Massier, Nancy (Ron) Shoger, Chuck (Barb) Massier, and Laurie (Mark) Patterson. Nine grandchildren: Mark (Nicole) Massier, Nichole (Christian) Krueger, Randi Shoger, Greg Shoger, Damon Massier, Derek Massier, Sam (Maddie) Patterson, Alaryce Patterson, and Aliza Patterson, and two great-grandchildren: Addison and Alexander Krueger.
Marie graduated nursing school from Aurora, IL. She was a surgical nurse at St. Mary Hospital in DeKalb, and finished her nursing career at Pine Acres Retirement Home also in DeKalb.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 10:30 am in St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb with Father Dean Russell officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 10:00 am till the time of the service in the church.
