Mustafa, Mian Ghulam, Age 87, of DeKalb, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 in his DeKalb residence. Mian was born on September 15, 1925 in Lahore, Pakistan. He was united in marriage to Muneer Begum in Pakistan, and they began a lifelong partnership. Before moving to the United States in 1988, Mian was a practicing lawyer for many years.He was a man who believed in using each and every moment of life to thank God for all the blessings in his life. He was a very noble,wise and simple man who used his time very wisely for helping the Muslim Community of Northern Illinois University. Life was a joy to Mian and each day was filled with smiles, laughter, and love. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Muneer Mustafa of DeKalb, his three daughters, two sons,three son-in-laws and two daughter-in-laws and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Mian Amjad Mahmood, his daughter-in-law, Ghazala Naheed, his grandson Zeeshan Mustafa. Namaz-E-Janaza (Islamic funeral prayer) was led by Abdul Baqi on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Burial followed at Fairview Park Cemetery.
