Murel E. Hill

Murel E. Hill 89, of DeKalb died Friday, November 27, 2015 at home.  He was born November 4, 1926 in Ramsey, IL and was the son of Roy Q. and Verna (Hayes) Hill.

Murel graduated from Maple Park High School in 1944.  He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 during World War II. Murel married Deloris Motz on June 11, 1948.  He was a car salesman for 4 ^th Street Motors for more than 40 years.  Murel was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DeKalb and a former member of Indian Oaks Country Club in Shabbona for more than 35 years.

Survivors include: wife of 67 years Deloris, two sons; Dennis Hill and his children; Ryan (Kristin) Hill, Amanda (Michael) Shea and their mother Donna Hill. Robert (Deanna) Hill and his children; Jennifer (Travis) Jackson and Lindsay (Chad) Batorski.  One brother Roy Dean (Janice) Hill, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Marian Siebens.

Memorial service will take place Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 7:00pm at Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb with Rev.
