Patricia A. Anderson
Patricia A. Anderson 96, of Kingston, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb. She was born September 19, 1928, in Burlington, IL and was the daughter of Max and Eva (Waldeck) Busch.
Patricia's journey began with her graduation from Burlington High School in 1946, a moment that marked the start of a life filled with love and dedication. On June 23, 1951, she married the love of her life, Russell T. Anderson, and together they built a beautiful life. She was a stay-at-home mom while her children were young and later worked outside the home at a grocery store and at various factories. Patricia was a devoted member of Faith United Methodist Church in Genoa, where her kindness and spirit touched the lives of many.
She had a special connection to her home, where she found joy in mowing her yard and tending to her garden, watching them grow with the same care and attention she gave to everything in her life. Whether it was a lively game of cards with friends or her cherished moments as part of the Genoa Grannies, where she listened to schoolchildren read and helped them grow in their learning, Patricia's heart was always open to others.
And who could forget her love for ice cream and cookies, it was the little things like these that brought Patricia so much joy. She will forever be remembered for the warmth she shared, her loving nature, and the simple pleasures that made her life so rich and meaningful.
Survivors include; two children; Thomas Anderson of DeKalb, IL and Barb (George) White of Cherry, IL. Four grandchildren; Chris (Lisa) Niemann of Spokane, WA, Andrea (Jacques) Joseph of Streamwood, IL, Julie (Brandon) Lively of Baton Rouge, LA, and Eric (Alana) White of Arlington Heights, IL, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and seven siblings.
Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 10:00am-11:00am at Faith United Methodist Church 325 S. Stott St. Genoa, IL. Memorial service will be Monday, April 21, 2025, at 11:00am at the church with burial immediately following the service at Genoa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for later distribution to the charities Pat cared about most.
