Patricia A. Conley

Patricia A. Conley, 66, of Hinckley, IL passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, surrounded by her family at home. She was born September 3, 1959, in Worcester, MA and was the daughter of James and Rita (Deschenes) Richards.

After spending most of her childhood in upstate New York, Patricia graduated from Paul Revere High School in Richfield, Ohio, in 1977. On August 28, 1992, she married the love of her life, Thomas P. Conley II, beginning a devoted partnership built on love and family.

Patricia worked as a florist for Schnucks, where she shared her creativity and love of beauty and color with others. She dedicated herself to raising her children and creating a stunningly beautiful home filled with care, strength, and love.

Patricia found peace and joy in nature, especially near the water, whether it was the ocean or a quiet lake. She also loved music and the arts, traveling, and searching for antique treasures at garage sales. Yet nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her children, who were the center of her world.

She is survived by her husband Thomas P. Conley II; four children, James Garcia of Minneapolis, MN, Morgan Conley of Gunnison, CO, Thomas (Courtney) Conley III of Bloomington, IL, and Kelsey Conley of Batavia, IL; her father, James Richards of Daphne, AL; sister, Carol (Richard) Hall of Daphne, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Faranda's Banquets 302 Grove St. DeKalb, IL 60115. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Finch Funeral Home, 310 Oak St., DeKalb, IL 60115 (815-758-3841). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PBS/WTTW.
