Richard E. "Daddio" Dailey passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. He was born to William and Goldie Dailey on February 18, 1933 in Logansport, IN, the ninth of ten children. Dick attended Northern Illinois University and served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division.

He is survived by his wife Patti of 46 years, a sister Mary Ellen Miller of Upland, CA. Children; Cindy Dailey Askew of Seattle, WA, Debra (Ken) Thompson of Rockford, IL, Michael (Diane) Calbow of DeKalb and Vanessa (Curtis) Pardridge of DeKalb. Grandchildren; Heather Dailey, Sara Kazmar, Marcelle Askew, Katie Colbert, Cameron and Chris Calbow and Abby and Dane Pardridge. Great grandchildren; Tommy and Leo Kazmar and Chase Logan. Daddio was preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings and his loving daughter Michelle.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 30, 2014 at 3:00pm at Christ the Teacher Catholic Church 512 Normal Rd DeKalb, IL with Father Matthew McMorrow officiating. A military service will take place after mass by DeKalb?s American Legion, VFW and AmVets. Cremation will take place at Finch Crematory.
