Richard Allen Meyers

Richard Allen Meyers 74, of Sycamore died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital.  He was born March 29, 1946 in DeKalb, IL and was the son of LeVenn G. and Wanda (Wesdenfeld) Meyers.

Richard married Linda L. Moore on October 30, 1965 in DeKalb.  He worked for EMD Trucking Company as a truck driver. Richard was a diehard Nascar fan.

Survivors include wife Linda of Sycamore, daughter; Cindy Meyers of Joliet, IL, sons; Sidney Meyers and Steven Meyers both of DeKalb.  Grandchildren; Heather Meyers, Savanna (Edgar) Rivera, Nadia Meyers and Ethan Meyers. Great grandchild Natalie Rivera.  Brother; Mike Boddy of Missouri.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Finch Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Gastiger officiating.  Burial will be at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb at 11:00am Saturday, January 2, 2021.  Arrangements were entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL 60115 815-758-3841.
