Robert A. (Bob) Gosnell

Robert A. (Bob) Gosnell (also known as Goose) passed away on Thursday March 6th at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb. He was 78 years old. He was born on September 6th 1946 in DeKalb to Robert H. Gosnell and Kathleen J. (Moore) Gosnell. He attended St. Mary elementary school and DeKalb High School before enlisting in the US Air Force. He served honorably for four years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam before returning to DeKalb.

He worked at many jobs in DeKalb, Florida, Nevada and California, ultimately returning to DeKalb where he worked at Pizza Villa and Twins Tap for many years before retiring.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Mary (Frank) Koczan, Sheboygan WI, Mike of Sycamore and Judy (Rick) Ewens of Paso Robles CA, niece Jessie Seiler of Seattle WA, nephews Aaron Hansen of Puyallup WA, John Paul (Cass) Koczan of Middleton WI, Pete (Anna) Koczanadon of Madison WI and Tyler Ridino of Redondo Beach CA, as well as great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathy Gosnell Seiler, niece Allison Hansen Burghardt, and nephews Sandy Seiler and Joey and Gregory Koczan.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Prairie Crossing Supporting Living Facility for the care and friendship they showed to Bob for the last 10 years of his life. According to Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral, but a gathering of friends and family will be held at another time.
