Robert L Jackson, 68, a long time resident of DeKalb died December 2 in Kingwood, TX.

Born December 27, 1941, he was the son of Roy W. and Myrtle (Carey) Jackson. He served his country in the Marine Corp for 4 years, serving in Vietnam. He also was a laborer in Chicago as well as worked many years at NIU. He moved to Texas in 1998 and finished his work life on a golf course.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, his children Robert W. and Tina M.(Courtney) and three granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roy W and Charles D and his beloved son, Donald Charles.

Family will be receiving friends at the Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 9:00am to 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery.
