Roger M. Jurs

Roger M. Jurs 84, of Sycamore, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Lincolnshire Place in Sycamore. He was born February 25, 1941, in Elgin, IL and was the son of Melvin and Ruth (Ehlert) Jurs.

Roger graduated from Elgin High School in 1959. He worked in DeKalb, IL as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 40 years.

Survivors include siblings; Sandra (Richard) Anderson of Sycamore, brother Ronald (Catherine) Jurs of Boise, ID and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Ruth and his beloved dogs Simon and Reagan.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Lincolnshire Place for the exceptional care they provided for Roger.

A private family graveside service has taken place at Fairview Park Cemetery, as per Roger's wishes. Arrangements were entrusted to Finch Funeral Home DeKalb, IL 60115 815-758-3841.
