Ronald G. Burtzos

Ronald G. Burtzos 90, of DeKalb passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 27, 1934, in DeKalb and was the son of George C. and Lucille (Kliebenstein) Burtzos.

Ronald graduated from DeKalb High School in 1952. He worked as a clerk in DeKalb for Milwaukee Railroad for 15 years. He also worked for NIU in Central Stores as a truck driver.

Ronald married Christine Spartz on September 11, 1954, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sycamore. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator for many years.

Survivors include; wife Christine of DeKalb, two daughters; Suzanne (David) Haltom of Katy, TX and Sandra (David) Protano of DeKalb. Grandchildren; Lyndsy (Adam) MacNeille of DeKalb, four great grandchildren; Dominick Allen of DeKalb, Brayden MacNeille of DeKalb, Jaxson MacNeille of DeKalb, and Jayden MacNeille of Alabama.
