Ronald N. Grimm

Ronald N. Grimm 84, of DeKalb passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb. He was born July 26, 1940, in Wausau, WI, and was the son of Nicholas and Lillian (Dittbrender) Grimm.

Ronald graduated from Wausau High School in 1958. He owned and operated Dolder Electric in Waterman, IL. He served in the United States Army.  Ronald was married to Helen Jane Grimm, she preceded him in death on January 18, 1997.

Ronald enjoyed spending time at the YMCA. He was a member of the Hillcrest Covenant Church in DeKalb and The Gideons International.

He is survived by; son Nick (Liv Arnold) Grimm of Grayslake, IL, two grandchildren; Margaux and Whittaker Grimm both of Grayslake, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen Jane Grimm, daughter Julia Christine Grimm, sister Margaret Vernon, and brother Edward Grimm.

Celebration of life will be held on July 12, 2025, aat 11:00am at Hillcrest Covenant Church 1515 N First St. DeKalb, IL 60115.
