Rose Madeline Conn (1943 - 2024)

Rose Madeline Conn, aged 80, of Sycamore, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 6, 2024. Born on May 27, 1943, in Elmhurst, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Glen and Harriette (Gregory) Burcham.

A proud graduate of Wheaton Community High School in 1961, Rose was a beacon of joy and kindness. Her life was a testament of Christ's love, characterized by the deep bonds she forged with her children and grandchildren. Known for her twinkling eyes, unwavering support and as the biggest cheerleader of her children's dreams, Rose's legacy of encouragement and belief in their aspirations will forever inspire her family.

Rose was a loving mother to Jeff (Michele) Conn, Tracy (Pam) Conn, Tammi (Fiance Peter Dorman) Conn, Steven (Jennifer) Conn, and Doug (Becky) Conn, and a doting grandmother to Heather, Autumn (Ryan) Pierson, Jason, Meghan, Lexi, and Payton. She recently had the joy of becoming a great-grandmother to Magnolia Pierson. She also leaves behind her brother Glen (Kathy) Burcham Jr., and sisters Connie (Stephen) Gorton and Bonnie (Bob) Whitehead, along with many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Scott Conn and her parents Glen Leroy Burcham and Harriette Elizabeth (Gregory) Burcham.

A celebration of Rose's life will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb, with visitation the same day from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose's memory can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network ( http://pancan.org ) or the Ronald McDonald House ( http://www.rmhc.org ).
