Samantha Josephine Ortega

Age 30 of Rockford, IL, died on Sunday December 23, 2018 in her residence in Rockford. She was born on September 28, 1988 in Aurora, IL, and was the daughter of Samuel and Debbie (Vela) Ortega Sr.

Samantha was a loving mother, and enjoyed being with her family. Samantha was very proud of her self when she received her GED in 2010.

Survivors include: father: Samuel Ortega Sr. of Aurora, mother: Debbie Vela of Cotulla, TX, brothers: Samuel Ortega Jr., of Aurora, Edwardo Ortega of DeKalb, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 30, 2018 from 4:00PM till 6:00PM in the Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb. Cremation will be provided by the Finch Crematory following the visitation.
