Sharon Louise Kennedy
Age 83 of DeKalb, IL, died on Wednesday September 27, 2017 in the Kishwaukee Hospital Emergency Room in DeKalb, IL. She was born on August 30, 1934 in Dixon, IL, and was the daughter of Lloyd and Verna (Miller) Rinehart.
Sharon was married to the late Brady Kennedy on February 19, 1952 in DeKalb, IL, he preceded her in death on August 13, 2005.
Sharon was a Supervisor in the Housekeeping and Laundry Department at the DeKalb County Nursing Home for 28 years, retiring in 1985. She really enjoyed her grandchildren, taking long walks, and traveling to many craft shows.
Survivors include: daughter: Mary Hearst of FL, son Allen Kennedy of FL, 9 grandchildren, brothers: Darrell Rinehart, Ronald Rinehart, Raymond (Rita) Rinehart, and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by: parents, husband; Brady daughter: Obeatus Aves, sisters: Olive Fay, Ethel May, brothers: Gary, Delven, Kenneth, and Wayne.
Funeral service will be held on Monday October 2, 2017 at 10:30 am in the Finch Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow services in the Fairview Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday October 2, 2017 from 9:30am till the time of the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.
