Thomas Lawson, 54, died suddenly and peacefully on May 9, 2012 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. A long-time resident of DeKalb, IL, Tom graduated from DeKalb High School and continued his education at Kishwaukee College. Tom loved his time as a wrestler at DeKalb High School and his other interests included anything to do with fixing cars, figuring out how things worked and no one made a tastier slab of ribs than he did. He was the ultimate 'Grill-Meister' and at family parties was always the one manning the grill with a smile on his face!

Tom lived the last 3 years of his life in Tennessee....his fellowship over the last 3 years in Lebanon, TN his dedication to his job at retail at K-Mart (where he hadn't missed one day in 3 years until he became ill in March) meant the world to him and gave him peace of mind.

Tom is survived by his former wife, Rosa Balli-Lawson and their beautiful children, Bianca, Brianna and Luis; his sister Kathleen Kane-Lawson and her husband Greg, brother Robert and his wife Maureen and brother Timothy; also beloved by his surviving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lois Malone Lawson and Robert E. Lawson who now join him with our heavenly Father.
