Casey was best known for his contagious smile and infectious catch phrases, such as "Boy Howdy," "Life is good and life is wonderful," "Don't be such a knot head," and "Atta boy champ". His greatest passion and love were for his family, friends, and beloved pets. He graduated from DeKalb High School - class of 1978. He then worked several years, driving for Voluntary Action Center. He was a "Die Hard Cubs Fan," and admired Ernie Banks and Billy Williams. If Casey wasn't watching a Cubs game on TV, he could often be found watching a Barrett-Jackson auction or a NASCAR race.
