Velma Robinson

Age 63 of DeKalb, IL, died on Saturday August 1, 2020 in Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. She was born on February 2, 1957 in Chicago, IL, and was the daughter of Woodrow and Willie Mae (Wells) Robinson.

Velma worked at Barb City Manor in DeKalb, and she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

Survivors include: daughters: Latrina Robinson of DeKalb, Shreada (Lawrence) Cooke of Cortland, son: Johnny Ice, god-daughter: Miriam Kemp, brothers: Ezekiel Robinson, James Robinson, sisters: Emma Robinson, Faye Robinson, Sheila Martin, Heleane Pitman, Cassandra Robinson, Tanya Tipton, Judy Thomas, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: parents, and son: Eric E. Robinson Sr.

Due to COVID-19 a family funeral service will be held on Saturday August 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Finch Funeral Home with Reverend LeRoy Mitchell officiating.  The family will greet friends from 9:30-11:30 AM at the funeral home on Saturday, social distancing and facial coverings is required by the CDC.  The funeral service will be streamed live on ZOOM by family invitation.
