Wiley Scott Rosenbalm
"On Dec. 3, 2022, After battling a multitude of health issues, Wiley Scott "Scottie" Rosenbalm passed away peacefully at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, Il with his daughter holding one hand and granddaughter holding the other.
Scott was born on November 19, 1950, in Rochelle, Il to Phyllis Lizer and Earl "Wiley"Rosenbalm. After graduating from Mt. Morris high school in 1970, where he was an avid runner and Homecoming King, Scottie went on to serve proudly in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army.
Spending most of his adult life in Northern Illinois, Scottie loved spending time with family and friends. He loved sports… playing them, watching them and also coaching baseball, softball and track in his younger years
As a father, he treated all of his children's friends as one of his own, making it the place that everyone wanted to be. There weren't many things that could steal his joy. He was always joking (often inappropriately) and trying to lighten any situation. His joy, love and kindness will be missed tremendously!
Scott is survived by his Brothers Randy (Nina) Rosenbalm, Rory (Mary Ann) Rosenbalm, daughters Desiree (Charlie) Morrison and Allyssa (Dennis) Dunn, step- daughter Katie Ballard, step-son Andrew (Randa) Ballard, grandchildren Melanie Edison, Mikah Dunn, Kai Morrison, Mason Dunn and Maximus Dunn and great grandsons Matthew Merrick and Miller Brady.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Lisa who passed only 48 days before him, his parents Phyllis Lizer and Wiley Rosenbalm, Step-mother: Bonnie, daughter Melanie Rosenbalm and grandmother Lola Allen"
