William "Bill" Miller Ring Jr.

William "Bill" Miller Ring Jr. 58, of DeKalb passed away November 19, 2024, at home. He was born May 8, 1966, in Geneva, IL and was the son of William M. and Gloria J. (Crawford) Ring Sr.

Bill graduated from Dundee-Crown High School in 1984. He owned and operated Bill's Custom Services out of Maple Park. He was a member of the YMCA and Grace Lutheran Church in Lily Lake, IL.

It's clear that Bill cherished the time he spent in nature, particularly fishing and hunting, with his annual trips to Maine serving as a highlight of his year. Hosting lobster parties for friends upon his return reflects his generous spirit and his love for bringing people together. Bill's legacy seems to be one of connection, joy, and shared experiences with friends.

Survivors include; children; Natasha Lynn Ring and William Miller Ring III both of Maple Park, IL. Sisters; Charlene (Brad) Tutt of Tennessee, Kathryn (Tony) Maltese of Aurora, and Gailene Friendly of Maine. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Gage Ring.

Visitation will be held on December 7, 2024 from 12:00pm-3:00pm with a service starting at 3:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake 5N600 Hanson Rd St. Charles, IL. Memorials can be made to the family at this time to be established at a later date. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL 60115 815-758-3841.
